Use of profits from Mother Earth sales
Next time you take a shower notice how much clean water goes down the drain before it’s hot enough to take your shower. Other countries, especially in Europe, have addressed this issue with tankless “on demand” or “instant on” water heating technology. The potential to conserve water in the U.S., using tankless water heaters is astronomical. Conservatively projecting that just those 217,685,000 individuals, age 15-64 years old (2023 Census) only showered 5 times per week (U.S. averages 5.9-7.0 showers per week) and saved one-half gallon of water per shower, we could save 28,299,050,000 gallons of water per year. YES, that’s billions of gallons!
Profits from the sale of Mother Earth merchandise will be invested to stimulate, instruct and lobby for the use of “tankless” water heater technology as the new U.S standard. We’ve already achieved that level of water conservation by establishing a standard for toilets at 1.6 gallons of water per flush since 1961.
The most logical place to start is with annual new housing construction and major remodel projects that focus on bathrooms and kitchens. The 416,000 new housing units in 2023 had the potential to conserve 148,512,000 gallons per year.
The 745,000 major remodeling projects for bathrooms and kitchens in 2022 had the potential to conserve 162,708,000 gallons per year. Again, that’s based on saving just 2.5 gallons of water per week for 130 gallons per year, per household.
The amazing success with low-flow and duo-flush toilets provides a template. Theconservation success of progressive U.S. homeowners who have voluntarily adopted tankless water heater technology support it’s adoption. The water
conservation potential is too compelling for America to ignore.
Use of profits to champion water conservation
Next time you dine take a look at the drinking water your dinner party leaves on the table. Then, step back and look at the water glasses on all the tables. You will have some idea of the gallons and gallons of leftover drinking water that 157, 000 full-service restaurants in the USA pour down the drain each day. Helping to reduce that “spillage” by an average of 5 gallons per day per restaurant, conserves 800,000 gallons daily. If these restaurants are open only 260 days per year… do the math… that’s 208,000,000 gallons of drinking water conserved annually!
Earth Angels, sponsor of this web site and Mother Earth sales, will use the profits to work with the National Restaurant Association and/or state restaurant associations to develop, test and offer new water service protocols.
The goal is a new paradigm that retains customer satisfaction, while reducing water costs and potentially enhances wait staff efficiency. Good news. It’s already starting to happen. Select restaurants in select markets are experimenting with water service improvements. Earth Angels intends to accelerate the movement by helping develop the new “best of the best.” Then, helping restauranteurs and their associations feel the public relations impact for making the effort.

Use of Mother Earth profits for water quality
In 1974 Congress passed the Safe Drinking Water Act. It requires all water systems serving 25 or more users to provide an annual report on the safety of the water coming out of the system to its users.
Earth Angels will use profits from the sales of Mother Earth merchandise to lobby for the annual report to also provide an analysis of the water coming into the system. It’s reasonable to assume that all water systems do such analysis so they know to process and chemically remediate any harmful contaminants to make the drinking water safe.
Annual reporting of source water analysis will provide an historical objective perspective on how natural toxins, pesticides, herbicides and industrial pollution are affecting the very life blood of the earth… the water that all living things need to survive.
Earth Angels expects to connect and coordinate with other organizations like Izaac Walton, Sierra Club and Water Keepers alliance which already have a focus on water quality and conservation.
